Marina Safina

Designer

Marina Safina is a couture fashion designer whose work blends sculptural artistry with emotional storytelling. Born in the Khabarovsk region of Russia’s Far East, she began her fashion journey studying precision garment construction at a sewing-factory school before continuing her education at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles. Now based in Lake Oswego, Oregon, she draws inspiration from the region’s natural beauty, particularly roses, peonies, and lush landscapes.

Her signature motifs—the Wing and the Flower—symbolize freedom, transcendence, life, and renewal. Through couture garments, monumental silk flowers, and illuminated angel wings, Marina creates immersive works that blur the boundary between fashion and sculpture. A breast cancer survivor, she channels resilience and hope into her designs and actively supports the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Marina Safina’s work embodies transformation, joy, and the enduring strength of the human spirit.
