Ella Renshaw

Designer

Ella Renshaw is a fashion design student at West Virginia University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Fashion, Dress, and Merchandising, with an expected graduation in May 2026. Her work draws from punk and grunge traditions, reinterpreted through a contemporary sportswear lens to create garments defined by bold silhouettes, industrial detailing, and transformation-driven design.

Her practice centers on storytelling through construction, employing material contrast, structural patternmaking, and graphic development to explore themes of power, identity, and rebellion. Renshaw’s designs balance precision with disruption, merging tailored forms and raw elements to produce garments that function as modern armor.

In 2025, Renshaw received top honors for all three projects submitted to the WVU Fashion Show. That same year, she was awarded the Blanche Payne Scholarship in Apparel and Fashion Design at the International Textile and Apparel Association (ITAA) Conference. Her work was also selected for the WVU Juried Student Exhibition, reflecting her sustained commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, and conceptual rigor.
